Major Pedro Yatar, Commanding of the 2nd Battalion 64th Regiment printed 100.000 pesos in low denomination notes to provide small change in the Aklan area of Capiz. The notes where distributed to Municipal Treasurers who where required to keep on deposit an equivalent amount in large denomination Iloilo emergency notes. The notes where printed in sheets, and the shortage of type resulted in variations in boarder ornaments and text on each denomination. Of the six denominations issued, not all are presently known to collectors. The Aklan area of Capiz later became a separate province in 1956.
