    Kyle’s Custom Skates Waiver/Contract
My name is Kyle Carter, and I created a pair of custom roller skates for the person buying custom skates from me. I am a skate guard, and I have made my own pair of Vans roller skates, as well as fixed my own roller skates and many other skates (including rollerblades). Kyle’s custom skates is
    not
affiliated with the shoe company Vans, or any other business/company. This is a self-ran hobby, pursuing my interest in creating custom skates. With the purchase of my custom skates, the individual willingly, knowingly, and automatically consents to the following:
    1) There are certain risks that are associated with the sport of roller skating. When skating, you can fall for many different reasons. You can fall when you contact another skater or obstructing object. You can fall when you lose your balance due to your own inability to skate unable to regain control before falling. You can fall due to other skaters’ inability to skate or when they are unable to regain control before falling. Because the normal risks of Roller Skating and maintaining one’s balance, you can realize that when you Roller Skate you are assuming such risks.
By purchasing custom skates from me, Kyle’s custom skates do not hold any responsibility for injuries that Kyle’s custom skates cannot control due to impulse or spontaneous action of a person that may cause you to fall. Every effort should be maintained within the customer and surrounding skaters around them in an orderly manner and recognize on how to skate safely.
    2) A custom roller skate shoe (such as a Vans shoe made into roller skates) is different to a regular roller skate boot/shoe. Name-brand roller skates, such as Riedell, Sure-Grip, Impalas, Moxi’s, Bont, and much more create specific skate boots/shoes specifically for the use of the sport of roller skating. With specific materials, design layouts, and experts who design these boots create them to provide different needs for different roller skaters. These boots/shoes are not used as a typical “walking” shoe/everyday usage shoe, they are used to provide performance to the skater. With a custom roller skate shoe provided with my services, the shoe is a typical everyday shoe that individuals wear in society. A custom pair of roller skates may not provide the same performance that a regular roller skate from a roller skate company (such as ones listed above) may provide, however a custom pair of roller skates still provide the same technique, where roller skating tricks, dance skating, speed skating, and much other types of skating may be done through custom roller skates (with the individual following point #1 in this contract). People willingly choose to roller skate in custom-made skates for many reasons, such as seeing others wear custom-skates, following popular custom roller skate trends, having their own “unique” pair of roller skates, and much more.
By purchasing custom skates from me, Kyle’s custom skates do not hold any responsibility for any misleading information about skates (such as custom skates providing better skating techniques than regular name-brand skates would provide). It is encouraged that the buyer research about the science and engineering behind skates to learn more about how skates are made. Kyle’s custom skates recommends that the individual wearing the custom roller skates have experience in the sport of roller skating before purchasing custom skates. Custom skates differ from regular roller skates created by roller skate brands (such as ones listed above), helping the individual gain proper skating techniques such as balancing yourself out correctly, stability, obtaining momentum when skating, and much more.
    3) Overtime, skates
    will
wear and tear, bolts will loosen, laces may break, etc. Upon purchasing, each skate created will have gone through a multi-point inspection test to ensure that the skate is fully functional with no potential hazards shown through the test, withholding the skate from being sold to the buying customer. It is up to the individual using the skates created to maintenance their own skates, recognize, and fix any problems with their own pair of skates Kyle’s custom skates have created for them, or to find someone with an expertise in repairing roller skates. It is strongly encouraged that the individual who lack knowledge in fixing/maintaining skates to not fix their skates and to find the appropriate personal to maintenance their skates.
By purchasing custom skates from me, Kyle’s custom skates do not hold any responsibility for anything that happens to the skates created once the customer purchases the pair of skates. Every effort should be maintained within the individual to perform appropriate and proper care as needed on their skates to ensure the best performance and safety for both themselves and other skaters who skate near/with the individual.
By reading this contract and purchasing the custom skates, you have read and fully understood everything stated above. Any questions or concerns should be raised before signing and purchasing the custom skates.
There are absolutely no refunds to the custom skates created.
Payments must be done in advanced or when picking up skates; they may not be done through monthly payments or paid whole after receiving the skates. No exceptions.
