Slimline click pen, red decora acrylic, gold hardware, mini refill

This handmade pen
was turned from a block of red acrylic called red decora.  This is an acrylic that is no longer made and seems to change color when the pen is rotated.   After turning, I sanded the acrylic to 8000 grit, then applied friction polish to a medium-high shine.  The pen was then assembled using gold colored hardware.
I tried something different with this pen.  Normally a slimline style pen has a metal band in the middle of it, and it is made with 2 pieces of turned material.  I turned this pen from a single piece of acrylic, and eliminated the center band.  This allowed me to leave the center of the pen thicker, creating a beefier, and in my mind, prettier pen.
I tried to show detail in the set so you can see what it looks like.
The hardware of these pens is called a click slimline style.  The pen uses a standard mini refill and can be replaced by simply unscrewing the tip off, removing the refill and replacing it.  Refills are available at any office supply store.  The easiest way to get a replacement is to take the refill out, remove the long spring and black plastic cap from the end of the refill, take the refill to an office supply store and say "I need one of these."  A couple compatible refills are the
